Championnat USF2000

Comme première étape officielle du Mazda Road to Indy présenté par Cooper Tires, l’USF2000 fournit un terrain d’entraînement vital pour les stars de demain.

La série a été une étape formatrice pour les pilotes remontant à 1990, ses diplômés comprennent Dane Cameron, JR Hildebrand, Colton Herta, Sam Hornish Jr., Charlie Kimball, Andy Lally, Spencer Pigot, Buddy Rice, Bryan Sellers, Zach Veach et Dan Wheldon parmi tant d’autres.

Le champion de la série reçoit une bourse de 325 000 dollars pour passer à la compétition Pro Mazda en 2019. En 2018, un total de 497 950 dollars de prix et récompenses ont été offerts durant la saison. La série fait également partie de Mazda $200K USF2000 Scholarship Shootout, qui réunit les champions de série du monde entier pour concourir pour une bourse de 200 000 dollars en vue de rejoindre les rangs de l’USF2000.

The highly touted Tatuus USF-17 made its debut in 2017 and represented a significant technology leap. In addition to enhanced safety features, upgrades included a six-speed paddle shift gearbox, two-way adjustable dampers, Cosworth data system an ECU, LCD steering wheel, four-piston PFC brakes and more. Its Mazda 2.0 liter MZR powerplant produces 175 HP.

Cooper Tires is the Official Tire of USF2000. Tire allocations include two new sets for single events, three for doubleheaders and four for tripleheaders in addition to a carryover set of used/scrubbed tires from a previous race or test. Two sets of new tires are permitted on ovals.

All races will feature live streaming shows on indycar.com, usf2000.com, RoadToIndy.TV and the RoadToIndy.TV App including pre- and post-race coverage. Dedicated broadcast channels are available on Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku and, most recently, the Xbox One Official App.
